Create an Avocado Face Mask for Acne

Avocado & Banana Face Mask for Acne Tired of dealing with breakouts? Create this avocado face mask for acne to combat these painful issues. Use the Mix & Play Set for this purpose as it helps to get a more even coverage and the application process is more hygienic too.

  • 1/2 fresh ripe avocado.
  • 3 tablespoons kaolin clay (green for oily skin, pink for dry skin, and white for combination skin).
  • 2 tablespoons aloe juice. (No needed if you don't have it)
  • 1 tablespoon sweet almond oil. (You can replace it with any carrier oil)

Blending Wet Ingredients Scoop out half of an avocado. Add aloe juice and sweet almond too (these particular ingredients give the face mask a smooth texture). Push down into the blender gates with a spoon and blend well till all ingredients are mixed well. It is important to get an even consistency, so scrape the edges to ensure all chunks are blended properly, and blend once again if necessary. If you wish, you can add lavender essential oil as it has a plethora of benefits, including a calming effect on the skin.

Adding Dry Ingredients Use the correct spoon (3 different gauges of spoons are provided) from the Mix & Play set to add at least 3 tablespoons of blended wet ingredients into the face bowl (made of premium grade soft plastic). Add kaolin clay (one tablespoon at a time), and mix thoroughly using the face stick, which is ideal for stirring. The reason for using kaolin clay is that it is mild, so those with delicate skin can use it without worrying about the skin becoming overly dry or being depleted of natural oils.

After the face mask forms a smooth paste, you have to spread it uniformly on your face (ensure your skin is clean), and leave on for 10 minutes. Wash off with warm water and moisturise. For best results, apply 2 to 3 times a week, and store the mask in a refrigerator till you use it all.
